Looking for some help figuring out a weird RAM issue with my **PowerSpec G765 pre-built from Micro Center**.

**System:**
PowerSpec G765
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Gigabyte B850 Gaming WiFi6 motherboard
RTX 5080
32 GB DDR5-6000 originally installed
Trying to upgrade to 64 GB using another 32 GB kit from my old PC

The two RAM kits are **different brands**, with one being G.Skill and the other being the RAM that came with the PowerSpec. They are the same speed at DDR5-6000 and the same capacity.

Here’s where it gets strange.

When I first install all four sticks, the computer will boot. I can get into BIOS, and all four sticks are detected correctly with the full 64 GB showing.

I’ve also run OCCT testing after getting it successfully booted, and I’m not seeing an obvious RAM failure. Everything can appear completely normal once I’m actually in Windows.

The problem happens after a full shutdown.

If I shut the PC down and then try turning it back on, it can get stuck before POST. I can’t even get into BIOS. So it seems like the system is capable of running all four sticks once it successfully initializes them, but something is going wrong during a cold boot or memory training.

Both kits also seem to work properly on their own.

I’m wondering if this is more of an AM5/DDR5 four-DIMM memory training issue than an actual defective RAM issue.

**What would you guys recommend?**

Should I:

Try running all four sticks below DDR5-6000?

Disable EXPO and manually set the speed/timings?

Change any of the memory training settings in BIOS?

Update the BIOS before doing anything else?

Buy two more identical G.Skill sticks and sell the two sticks that came with the PowerSpec?

Forget about four DIMMs entirely and buy a matched 2x32 GB 64 GB kit?

I’m mainly trying to figure out whether buying two more identical G.Skill sticks would actually solve this, or whether **four DDR5 DIMMs on a 9800X3D could still have the same problem even if all four sticks are the same model**.

If anyone has experience with the PowerSpec G765, 9800X3D, B850, or running four DDR5 DIMMs on AM5, I’d appreciate the help.
