Okay, I need a sanity check. How many of you guys think Citizens United was legislation under Clinton, basically making corporations people, and money speech?

I was just arguing with some lefty, and I looked it up because I'm OCD about double checking everything I say, and it turns out, it was a 2010 **court case**, where the 5-4 conservative court ruled along party lines. As far as I can tell, Clinton only passed [one piece](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipartisan\_Campaign\_Reform\_Act) of legislation surrounding campaign finance, and it was aimed at reducing the role of corporate money in campaigns, both federal and local.

Am I an idiot? Please tell me I'm an idiot. I stg lefties have been pinning CU on Clinton for the last like decade, and I've allowed myself to get gaslit by them. But maybe I'm just stupid, and this is a holdover from my 🤢 Jimmy Dore days 🤮
