What do you actually care about when buying LARP kit?

Following on from my last post, I’ve got another question for you all.

When you’re buying LARP kit, what are the things that actually matter to you?

Price is obviously one, but what about quality, durability, design, comfort, materials, customisation, ethical production, or whether something is handmade?

And which of those are you actually willing to pay more for?

If you had to pick your top three priorities when buying a piece of kit, what would they be?

I’m especially interested in the gap between things people like in theory, and the things that genuinely affect what they buy.
