I left the date because he told me to ignore a homeless kid
So storytime to when I finally agreed on going on a date w this one guy,
For context, I've never had a relationship before, and I rarely give chances to men, not because I think I'm all that, but because I have never met or talked to a man compatible enough to give him a chance
Anyways, I had met this guy quiet a few times casually in uni, we talked about many things, he seemed chill
He asked me out on a date and I said yes, because I haven't seen anything bad about him yet
He's a well established professor, interpreter, journalist, etc
Fast-forward to the date, he came in prepared, was well put together and very respectful, seemed like a gentleman
We was going to a restaurant or a coffeesh idk cuz I didn't enter, we parked, we was going towards the said place untill I spotted a homeless kid that probably needed help, and I was about to go to him, until he held my arm and stopped me
He said and I quote 'leave him alone, they only bring trouble'
I was honestly flabbergasted at how cruel he was, to simply brush off an innocent soul in need
The thing about me is that I'm en empath and if I could help everyone in the world, I would gladly dedicate my life to it
Even if he didn't wanna get involved, he could've at least let me give the kid some money for food
I excuses myself, told him I had to leave, gave the kid money and ordered a taxi for myself and left,
I might've been too harsh with him, but if he refuses to help the ones in need, what does that say about him as a man?!
