DLSU Scholarship: Whose Income Should I Submit If I Live With My Aunt?
Hi! I’m applying for a St. La Salle Financial scholarship and I’m confused about the income document requirement.
The requirements say to submit a 2025 BIR Form 2316 or Certificate of Employment and Compensation for employed parents/guardians and other household members providing financial support.
My situation is:
- I currently live with my aunt and recently moved here.
- I grew up with my grandmother.
- My aunt lets me stay with her and helps with my basic needs, but she does not want any part in my scholarship application or for her income/documents to be used.
- My mom provides some financial support, although it is limited because our family is struggling financially.
- My dad provides no financial support whatsoever.
Since I live with my aunt, would DLSU still require her BIR 2316 even though she does not want to financially support my college and does not want to be included in the scholarship application? Would I be able to submit my mom’s 2025 BIR 2316 instead since she is the one providing financial support? Additionally, how will I submit the other documents?
I want to be completely honest and make sure I don't submit anything incorrectly. Please help!
