Received Excessive Hospital Bill and am Insured

Had a stay in the hospital that required surgery. I do have insurance.

I just received a bill from that hospital for ~$22k. The EOB from the insurance company says: 066n - We have requested additional information from your provider of service. Since we have not received the requested information, benefits are not available for these services. You are not responsible for these charges."

Besides contacting the insurance company, what else can I do? How screwed am I?
