M24 gotten in some deep trouble

As of November of last year me and my younger sister pooled our money together to afford an apartment, I ended up losing my old job due to relocation. During my job our bills would stack,by The time I started working our rent was already 3.5K, adding insult in injury we've recently got a court date as the apartment complex and office is now trying to sue us due to back payment.

I'm not sure what to do about the current situation

Any ideas?
