Demo submission to demo booking advice.
Hi all, after some advice/insight.
B2B sports tech company, sell into performance coaches and sports science teams via a sales-assisted motion. We dug into the data and confirmed it's not a lead volume problem: submissions are down slightly, web traffic up significantly so we also implemented some CRO measures. The number of submissions that actually turn into a booked demo has dropped much further. So something between "form filled out" and "call on the calendar" is leaking hard.
I have already reworked our inbound follow-up sequence to tighten speed and messaging after submission, so that variable is being addressed on our end.
Would love to discuss with people who have successfully closed this gap!
- Instant calendar booking embedded in the form vs a rep manually reaching out after submission, which converts better in your experience?
- If you added qualifying questions to the form, did it hurt submission volume but improve booked rate enough to be worth it?
- Has speed-to-first-touch (minutes vs hours vs next day) made a measurable difference for you, and if so what was the actual threshold?
- Any examples of copy or incentive on the confirmation/thank you page that got people to actually pick a time rather than ghosting?
Genuinely interested in specifics, what you changed, what moved and by how much!
