wanting to move across the country, whats the safest thing to do?

my mom and i are wishing to move across the states (from the west to the east coast), and we have an eight-year old rabbit and 2 three-year old huskies. my mom hasn't gone on a vacation in 10 years, we're currently both full-time students, but we've been saving up to move.

i've heard so many horror stories about pets on flights being traumatized or even dying. my huskies are HUGE and honestly cannot fit in a normal cage. they were also born from the same litter and get extremely scared when they are not together. my rabbit is my childhood bunny as well. my mom thought of having someone drive them to the state we're moving to, but i brought up how (1) our pets get anxious and scared with strangers and (2) then we should just drive there so that it would be a one-way trip rather than paying someone and buying tickets (this isn't feasible either since i don't have my license and my mom has bad eyesight and can't read the road signs).

since we don't travel much, i wanted to know the best way to go about this? we haven't secured property or anything but hope to move within 1-2 years. thank you!!
