visa was issued then went back to processing

i am italian and need to fly back to the usa on friday. i am going insane over this, my visa was issued last week and is not back in processing. i called last week when it was issued to make sure everything was okay as i selected the option where the passport is returned to you at your home address… they said everything was okay and i would receive the passport on monday or tuesday… however its tuesday now and its stuck on administrative processing, ive called and emailed and i was told to wait, plus no reply to my emails. i cannot change flight, i also need to be in school on Monday. can someone please advise me on what to do
