What should be the ideal thing to do here ?

I have been having sleep issues since past 15 days where i am unable to sleep for 2-3 days which is then followed by an afternoon crash.
As a result of it, I can’t concentrate on anything. I feel brain fog where i can’t recall simplest of things related to exam as well as in real life.
I have been trying my level best to hit 2 stones with one bird (sleep as well as study), but ig it’s not working anymore.
I have been scoring 140+ in the latest GTs and i for sure thought i had a good shot in first attempt but life has placed yet another obstacle which i am finding very difficult to overcome.
So i think i have 2 choices

  1. Solely focus on my health and try my best for ini
Or 2. Get myself started on zolpidem.

I have had these issues 2-3 times during my mbbs years. I just stopped studying for my univ exams at that time and took those exams without much last minute preparation as i was confident about what i have studied during the entire year.
The problem with starting zolpidem is that if once i start taking them, it’s very difficult to stop them. Ik they are not addicting but my psychological dependence on it makes it very difficult to stop it. And plus the heavy head and zombie like feeling that i get are yet another deterrent for me to start it.

The problem is that even if i focus on my health and drop the idea, there’s no guarantee that I won’t occur again if i take a break and try again next year.

Ik i have to prioritise my health over this stuff, but it’ll helpful to know if anyone had been in similar kinda situation before.

I have taking melatonin and Mg glycinate but ig they don’t work anyone.

Thank you !
And sorry for any errors in this post (been awake for 36hrs)
