Everything went downhill after I tried to "leave my comfort zone." Feeling completely stuck and helpless.
A few months ago, life was good. I had a solid job, good friends, and stability. Then I got this sudden itch that I was becoming too comfortable and needed to escape it to push myself.
So, I quit. At the time, I even had a couple of decent job offers on the table, but I turned them down because I wanted something "better."
Fast forward to today, and everything seems to have unraveled at once:
It’s been months, and I still haven't landed a new role.
I had a bad fallout with a close friend, so that connection is gone.
I’m living in a different city and dealing with heavy homesickness.
Now, I’m in complete mental paralysis. I wake up, stare at the walls, and go back to sleep. I can’t focus on anything. Deep down, I know I’ll eventually land a job, but I can't shake this constant feeling of regret and helplessness.
Has anyone gone through a spiral like this after taking what felt like a step forward? How do you pull yourself out of this when you can barely function?
