Dash Cams w/ Car Play or just Dash Cam and use Phone mount?

Hi, Im def getting Dash cam's, but should I get them w/ the car play or just without? Do you guys like carplay? Or just prefer using phone? Im wondering if the carplay honestly is worth it? Most places I know how to get to anyways and the places I dont, I can just use phone's navigation. I have multiple portable chargers so im not worried I'd run out of battery during any significant ride unless I took like a multi hour trip which I dont really plan to do anytime soon anyways.....
