After braces

My braces journey is finally coming to an end. Could you please share how the process works after they are removed? I need to replace two old crowns on vital teeth and also get dental bonding (aesthetic filling)because of gaps.
Are these procedures done after the braces are taken off? Do you remove the braces and fit a retainer first, and only then do I go get the new crowns and aesthetic work done? Or do I get temporary retainers while the dental work is being completed, followed by a final retainer?

I have an upcoming appointment with my orthodontist soon, but I feel a bit overwhelmed and am not even sure what to ask. Thank you for your guidance!
