sometimes it's okay to break no contact once, but then never again

(this applies for very specific cases where your ex didn't do you "wrong" or you didn't have a toxic relationship.)

i reached out to my dumper who i know would never initiate contact to meet. not to convince him to get back tgt (i dont want it either) but i had a lot of unanswered questions that built up after 50 days NC. he answered them with honestly/details that he is capable of, and even after a few days, i don't have new questions nor do i ruminate about the why's.

sure, it felt like reopening a wound, but more so to put on a fresher dressing so it can heal properly. if you don't do anything counter-productive like beg them, or sleep with them, you might be able to sleep better at night.

sometimes the advice on here or from your friends is too generic. do what feels right to you if you trust your judgment and self-control.

also he told me his hairline has been receding so that was the cherry on top :) but honestly i hope he's okay.
