Any tips for caring for my grandfather
Last year, my grandfather had a blood clot that left him 90% paralyzed on the left side of his body. He slowly recovered and was eventually able to walk and do most daily activities with a little help.
Two months ago, he had another stroke. This time, the doctors couldn’t do anything, so they sent him home. Now he’s completely bedridden and unable to do anything by himself. He’s also become very confused, says strange things, and often talks about old memories. We even thought he was going to die twice.
My grandmother is the one taking care of him. I’m staying with her during this break because I want to help and make things a little easier for her.
Id really appreciate any advice on how I can help my grandfather now, and what advice I can give my grandmother when I leave and she has to take care of him alone. I tried convincing her to get a nurse or caregiver, but she completely refused.
I also want to ask if there is any way to make putting on diapers easier because i find it extremely difficult.
