indoor cat advice

i have one indoor cat, i recently had to rehome my other cat due to her constantly spraying and fighting with my boy cat (although they’re both fixed?? idk guys 😭) but anyways she’s been gone for probably about ur three days now and he’s been much more talkative and lovey since shes been gone. also a little more destructive than usual. is this a sign that i need to provide more toys and such to keep him occupied? me and my partner work during the day so we aren’t home 24/7
