Non-lord vampires in the "Gate To Sovngarde" collection?

I'm thinking of playing one and I've otherwise been very satisfied with the modlist, but this in particular looks very punishing. It uses Scion with a lot of dependencies, so I can't easily insert a more power-fantasy vampire overhaul. That's alright, I thought, but it also, unless playing specifically on the list's easy mode claims to ALWAYS have sun damage, which seems tough seeing as the game has day-night cycles for shopkeepers and all. But I'm not here to complain, rather, I want to ask:

Have you played vampires in GTS? Was it a rewarding experience? Are there any cool vampire-related mods I can add on top without breaking everything?
