Midsummer Scream panel

I've just been catching up with the Midsummer Scream panels on YouTube and I was wondering why the Knotts panel was so disappointing. Do they not usually announce new mazes here? It seems the perfect place to raise excitement for the event but they just rambled on for ages for 2 mazes that are closing? Surely this would put a damper on the mood for popular mazes. I'm just curious if this is normal for Midsummer and they announce things elsewhere/online.
