My coworker kept taking credit for my work, so I let the receipts speak

petty revenge

I had a coworker who kept taking credit for things I worked on. At first I ignored it because I didn't want unnecessary drama at work but one day he took credit for a project I had spent several days working on and told our manager that he had handled most of it himself. After that, I stopped doing anything that wasn't clearly assigned to me and started keeping records of what I completed and when I completed it. A few weeks later, he tried to take credit for another project, but this time my manager asked for the details. I showed the messages, files and timestamps proving exactly what I had done. My coworker couldn't really say much after that. I didn't have to argue with him or embarrass him. I just let the facts speak for themselves. He hasn't taken credit for my work since.
