I think most AI travel planners are solving the wrong problem

Most AI travel planners can generate an itinerary.
That’s easy.

The harder problem is generating an itinerary that actually makes sense.

Things like:
• Opening hours
• Travel time
• Weather
• Crowds
• Budget
• Hotel location
• Local transport
• Personal interests
• Realistic daily pacing

I’ve been experimenting with an AI travel-planning concept where the goal isn’t simply to generate a list of places, but to create a genuinely executable trip.
Would you use an AI planner that optimized the entire trip rather than just generating an itinerary?
