Hi foster friends! I'm going to get some ideas from people more experienced than I am!

I picked up 4 very sick babies this weekend - they were tossed out of a car into a gravel driveway. There were 5 originally, but we didn't make it in time 🥺. They're 5-7 weeks old and weighed .75-1.25 lb when I picked them up (two groups of two siblings each). Malnourished and too weak to move, severe URIs with eyes stuck shut, worms, ringworm, lice nits (no fleas, shockingly) - just a little bit of a lot of things.

The weekend was very touch and go, but we've made it through somehow. They're slowly gaining their strength, fighting off their URIs, and we're working through the emergencies before we worry too much about the smaller things.

There are two things I wanted to pick your wonderful brains on:

1 - One of the older babies has caked on grime-of-unknown-origin on his front legs, maybe an oval around 1.5" long, going about halfway around each leg. Not like, "Oh no, your bum is poopy, and I have to work a little harder to get it clean." Like CAKED on.

Their flea baths were very difficult, and I'm trying to avoid those again until they're a little stronger. I've tried washcloth baths and soaking it with baby shampoo, with no luck. He was shaking so hard by the time I stopped. I'm not sure why he was so scared. It has to be uncomfortable, and I'm afraid it will start pulling as he grows. I'm afraid to try to clip it because they're so thin and frail. Does anyone know of a magic gunk remover that I can try without traumatizing him even more in a bath? Probably wishful thinking, but I've gotten so much helpful advice from this sub - I wanted to at least ask!

2 - Any lice tactics? I'd rather not have to deal with the little fuckers on top of ringworm.

Thanks in advance! Including pics of Daffodil, Snowdrop, Azalea, and Crocus because they are adorable little goblins (RIP, Tulip).
