Will we get back together?

Me and my now ex boyfriend broke up august 9th (last sunday). We were together for almost two months.
He broke up with me because he didn’t feel like himself. I’m sure you’ve all heard the quote ‘you can’t love anyone else before loving yourself’ which is basically what happened here.
For context: he’s a very athletic person. He goes to the gym at least 4 days a week and on the other days he has his own practices or games. He’s also very disciplined and likes to have a schedule and something to do.
His school is out now, so is mine, so we were both on vacation for the first 2 weeks of break. Basically all he did was drinking and eating fast food. His schedule was 2pm: wake up, 2:30pm: have ‘breakfast’ (a burger), 3-6pm: lay on the beach, 6pm: have dinner (another burger or something like it), 8pm: meet with his friends and get drunk, 5am: go to sleep, repeat. Not very healthy for a person who normally watches food, weight, and activity with a magnifying glass.
The way we broke up: amazing tbh. He told me everything despite how much he hates talking about his feelings usually. I tried to convince him to stay, realised it wasn’t working, and just dropped it. We cried together, laughed together, kissed, hugged, and told each other we love each other when he left. We agreed not to do anything with anyone else at least until we know what’s gonna happen with us, and kind of decided that when he’s okay, we’ll come back to each other.
How it is now: we still talk sometimes just about random things during the day, we send each other snaps like usual, but I do notice that he’s more distant. Which is totally okay and makes sense, cause that was the whole point. I sent him a tiktok today titled ‘reasons your relationship needs a reset, not a break up’ and it just contained reasons like ‘you’re both tired but still love each other’ and ‘there’s distance but no hatred’. He replied saying he was speechless. I told him that’s okay, you don’t have to say anything, to which he responded with a heart.
