Healthcare woes and chronic pain

I (30F) had surgery in April and was doing good recovering.

Over the last 2 weeks my pain is back. Since surgery I have moved states, but I called my operating surgeons office and informed them of the pain 2 to 3 times…. No call back. They prescribed pain meds. I called my PCM and asked for a new orthopedic referral. I’m still waiting for the referral since then pain has gotten worse and I went to the emergency room where I took an x-ray and was told everything looks fine and I could stand to lose 10 pounds. Also that there was no way to diagnose anything without an MRI. But the ER wouldn’t order an MRI.

I feel like healthcare is literally ignoring me. I’m in too much pain to take (good) care of my kids (age 2 and 6 months).

WTF do I do?
