How to know if the cause of your yeast infections is your micro biome?
I am new into researching how to fix reoccurring yeast infections so bare with me haha.
Since about 4-5yrs ago I would get yeast infections often triggered by new sexual partners. Over this last year I have noticed an increase in them, even if my sexual partner is the same.
Normally I would just treat it with monistat or fluconzale.
I would like to know if I should be focusing more on my gut microbiome?
I already do not eat a lot of processed foods; maybe 90% of my diet is Whole Foods. I have been working on reducing my alcohol intake and I would say the only sugars I consume are from my daily coffee (I use chobani creamer), honey, and I also drink fresh fruit juices.
Since looking in now to get rid of my reoccurring yeast infections, I see a lot of talk about the microbiome so I am wondering if I should start there? Or maybe there is some other underlying causes I should look into?
Thank you. Any advice is appreciated.
