What is Train Breaks Down about?

Discussion

So, originally I just listened to the music, and I couldn’t really understand what he was screaming. But then i looked up the lyrics to one of the songs (TBD - Permanent as Your Errors) and i was thinking “huh, this could almost be describing class consciousness.” And then the end was one of Audre Lorde’s poems (a socialist/civil rights activist). And then I read the lyrics of a couple other songs.

I hate to be that dude, and i don’t mean to bring politics into this sub (lets not start a fight in the comments about ideologies)…But is it a communist thing? Or, if not communist explicitly, is there some sort of anti-capitalist/anti-imperialist stuff going on? Or is it just me?

Does anyone know anything about this? Has the singer/guitarist said anything in interviews?

Thanks!
