Need Austria travel advice and tips for firsttimers .

Hey everyone. We are planning to travel to austria at the end of August and were looking for some advice on below.

Planning to visit the salt mines. Which is better Salzburg or Halstatt? I understand Halstatt is currently closed and expected to reopen on 1st september.

We also plan to go on a toboggan ride . Should we pick Kaprun or Salzburg for this?

Also do we really need to book in advance for Schonbronn palace ?

Is the hike to the ice cave in werfen difficult for people who arent very fit but still lead an active lifestyle. Just that we dont go hiking and stuff.
