Gaming hasn’t reached it peak, it’s still improving every year.
I swear that every basement dweller in their mother has the same opinion that gaming has somehow peaked with halo the gears of war days and has gone downhill ever since this is nonsense.
Then you’ll have people saying that the reason we can’t have good games is graphical performance, and that I say that’s not true either
Some are best masterpieces have realistic graphics whether it’s red dead redemption, two or expedition 33 or Call of Duty® modern warfare 2. Then there’s still plenty of Indie games that break out into the main stream like Subnautica Minecraft fallout three.
I think the problem stands from masterpiece syndrome, which is a bullshit term I made up to describe the phenomenon where just because five products of something you like didn’t turn out the way you hoped suddenly means the entire media is dead. You see this with movies too people have made fun of this by creating a meme of we’re so back and we’re so dead with the MCU.
But unlike movies where it’s tied to a franchise, it’s like saying anime is dead because six of those pirate shows you watched were dog shit. Gaming still has plenty to offer expedition 33 has very much shown that gaming has a long way to go to and still be considered a masterpiece.
I don’t think gaming is ever going to peak just like movies never peaked and TV shows never peaked. It’s art an art never gets to have a peak. It is always improving and pushing limits.
