Is 80%+ humidity in a bedroom something I should worry about?

Home & Lifestyle

Problem/Goal: Need advice if buying a dehumidifier is actually necessary for my bedroom or those disposable dehumidifier box is ok na.

Context: My bedroom is around 9 sqm and I've been noticing that it feels humid/sticky. Kahit hindi naman sobrang init, parang malagkit sa balat yung feeling inside the room. I bought a hygrometer to check if it's actually humid, and the reading usually stays around 80% RH at the lowest and goes up to around 86%.

My main concern now is that we have a particle-board bunk bed, and rainy season na. I'm worried that the consistently high humidity might eventually cause problems.

My room only has one window, and unfortunately sa area namin medyo konti nalang ang spacing ng next house unlike dati na mabukid pa. Hindi ko rin siya mabuksan lagi, kasi pumapasok yung amoy from our kapitbahay na parang amoy kanal. Because of that, I usually keep the window closed, and I also keep the blackout curtain closed most of the time.

Previous Attempts: I've tried keeping the bedroom door open and using the wall fan for circulation, but the humidity still stays around 80%+. I've also tried those moisture-absorbing dehumidifiers before, but they get saturated and clump pretty quickly.

Now I'm considering buying a dehumidifier for my bedroom. I've browse on Shopee and currently here's what I added on my cart

  1. Simplus 12L
  2. Carrier 12L
  3. Condura 20L

So I'm wondering if a dehumidifier is actually necessary in my situation? or if there's something else I should try first given the limited ventilation?

Also add ko na rin, I notice some molds sa surfaces ng side table, at mga bottles/container sa kitchen namin, and halos 5 days palang lumipas after namin mag linis.
