Help with Swedish phone number

I am from the U.S. and currently have a phone plan from a U.S. based carrier, so my phone is not unlocked. I have not called them about unlocking it yet as I want to see if there are other options. Is it possible to get a local Swedish number that I can use for bank ID/online banking, making appointments, etc., while keeping my current plan for most personal communications? If not, can anyone recommend the best alternatives?

I will stay in Sweden for at least 1 more year, after which I may or may not be returning to the U.S. depending on my residency application decision, which is why I have not switched my plan and would like to avoid it for now if possible. I appreciate any advice!
