Clearing up confusion with the AJBell referral scheme

Investing Offers

For context, I recently made a post pointing out that you are able to refer yourself and claim £200 rather than £100 in Amazon vouchers via AJBell.

It seems there may have been some confusion regarding that and the post was removed so I’d like to clear things up.

To create an AJ Bell referral link you do not need to hold an AJ Bell account. When you create a referral link all you provide is an email and a name so that AJ Bell can email you the Amazon vouchers. Therefore if you use an alternate email and name to set up a referral account it is not possible for AJBell to identify that you have referred yourself.

Once you create a referral link, you click on it yourself and proceed to set up an account, deposit / transfer 10k etc and you will receive both vouchers to separate emails.

Both myself and my girlfriend have done this and I would not be posting about it if I hadn’t already done it. We also both withdrew the 10K almost immediately and there was no issue.

I made the original post because I like seeing people get the most value out of these offers rather than giving 50% of the value to someone spamming their referral link anywhere and everywhere .

If this is removed again so be it, just thought I should put it out there.
