Recently, I tried a new type of toothpase with Calcium as well as Fluoride (picture on the left), because the packaging said "dual protective shield". One thing that I am certain of: the one I was using before (picture on the right) tastes better and it also disolves better with my saliva. mean it creates a solution in my mouth with a lower viscosity. I assume this helps it to get the fluoride get into smaller openings and the narrow spaces between my teeth.

Based on that alone, I would go back to the old one (on the right), but the calcium added for the "dual protective shield" has me doubting. Now I wonder a few things about the additive calcium:

\- Can the calcium help to let the enamel on my teeth grow back?
\- I have the impression that the toothpaste with the calcium is more abrasive. I have the impression that my teeth are rougher after cleaning them with this one. Is it possible that the abrasiveness of the calcium is actually increasing the effect of "sanding away the enamel on my teeth"?

Or combined: Does this calcium in the toothpaste actually help to protect my teeth or is it pure marketing?

Additional info: I only ever drink water, eat yoghurt every morning as breakfast for calcium and brush my teeth every evening (most mornings too).
