Hey everyone,

I was surprised to see quite a lot of Reddit posts about the same peeling issue when I searched for it, so I thought I'd share my experience and this possible fix in case it helps others facing the same problem.

Sharing this because I recently had an issue with my Nothing Ear (2) and thought it might help someone else facing the same problem.

The right earbud started peeling off from the outer body/coating. The earbud itself was working perfectly — the issue was basically the physical peeling.

I visited a Nothing Exclusive Service Centre near me, and they told me that they could replace it with a brand-new Ear (2), but I would have to pay around ₹5,500, with only 90 days of warranty on the replacement.

Since Ear (2) is an older model now, I wasn't really interested in spending ₹5,500 on it again.

So I searched around for a possible DIY fix. I initially thought about using Fevikwik Gel, but after discussing it with ChatGPT, I was advised not to use instant/super glue because it can become brittle and can potentially seep into the tiny openings of the earbud.

Instead, I was recommended B-7000, which is a flexible adhesive commonly used for electronics/mobile repairs.

I bought a small tube and carefully applied a very small amount only to the peeled section, making sure not to cover any microphone holes, vents, sensors, speaker openings or charging contacts.

I then pressed the piece back into position and left it undisturbed for curing.

So far, the repair looks really good. The Ear (2) is working normally, and the peeled section is back in place.

💰 The best part:

\- Instead of spending ₹5,500 on a replacement, I spent only around ₹100–₹150 on the adhesive.

That's a potential saving of roughly ₹5,350+.

Honestly, B-7000 was a lifesaver for this particular issue. 😅

I'm attaching pictures of:

\- The B-7000 adhesive I used bought from Amazon India.

⚠️ **Important:**

I'm not saying this is a guaranteed permanent repair or that everyone should blindly glue their Ear (2).

If you try it:

\- Use very little adhesive

\- Don't get it inside the earbud

\- Keep it away from microphones/vents/speaker openings

\- Keep it away from charging contacts

\- Let it cure properly before using it

\- Do this only if the issue is with the outer body/coating and the earbud itself is otherwise working normally

I'm posting this because I couldn't find much information about fixing this particular peeling issue, and ₹5,500 for a replacement felt excessive to me.

Hopefully this helps someone else save some money. 👍
