Vehicle renewal

Hi this is my first car renewal, could you guys help me what are the processes of car renewal here in Dubai? And how much would i pay? Also, if my expiry is on Sept and renewed it on August, does this mean my new expiry would be August 2027 or it will be Sept? When is the good time to renew my car if my expiry is on September? Thank you
