Does your gym actually give you a proper plan or are you just figuring it out yourself?

Simple Questions

Asking genuinely because I feel like most gym-goers are in one of three camps:

a) Still following the plan their trainer made them 6 months ago

b) Running some random YouTube routine they found at 11pm

c) Just vibing and hoping for the best 😂

I was frustrated with how unorganized everything felt so I ended up building something to fix it for myself and the gym I train at.

Here's basically what it does

When you join, you fill out a short form. Goals, current fitness level, what you eat, any restrictions. That's it. From there a plan gets generated for you automatically no waiting on your trainer to find time, no getting a screenshot of someone else's workout.

Your dashboard then shows you everything in one place:

  • Workouts for Mon–Sat with video guides for each exercise
  • A full diet plan broken down by meal, with calories and macros
  • A daily log for water intake and body weight
  • Your progress stats so you can actually see you're moving forward

On the gym side it's even simpler — the trainer adds you, an invite lands in your email, and your plan is ready. They don't have to write anything manually.

That last part honestly surprised me the most while building this. Trainers are spending hours every single week just rewriting plans and sending the same stuff over WhatsApp over and over. Hours they could actually spend on the floor coaching people.

Anyway — curious how your gym handles this. Do you get a proper structured plan or are you mostly on your own figuring it out?
