Which CPU and GPU ?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to buy a new rig but I cannot decide on what to get. I narrowed it down to two CPUs and three GPUs.

I'm hesitating between the 9950X3D (729€) and 9800X3D (500€).

And for GPUs, RTX 5080 (1800€), 5070Ti (1229€) and 9070 XT (879€).

For the RAM, I will get 32GB which let me upgrade to 64GB if I ever need to.

As for my current build, I've got 16GB RAM, i5-9600K and an RTX 2070. For the past 3 or 4 years, I've only been using my PS5 to play and to be honest, I've got no idea on recent games specs recommandations as I couldn't care less by playing on console.

I'm looking to play at 1440p (165Hz max), not necessarily ultra but it'd be nice to do so. I'm also a developer and I will most likely have a few projects running in the background, containers or VMs. I might tinker around with a few LLMs if I can.

Main concern is longevity. I'd rather spend a few hundred € more now than regret it in 2-3 years.

Disclaimer : I know those prices are insane. I haven't yet searched for better deals, but I know there are some out there. This is just to give and idea if I was to buy them right now.
