Need some advice on my next step 🥲
I’m a 2003-born Korean university student majoring in Hospitality Management. My academic path has been a bit unconventional—I retook the entrance exam, attended another university for a year, transferred to my current university, and later changed my major.
Earlier this year, I spent a semester in the U.S. through the Disney International College Program, working at Disney while studying at a U.S. university.
Now I’m starting my junior year this September, but I’m considering taking another gap year to work, save money, and go abroad again as an exchange student. After living and working in the U.S., I’ve realized I might prefer building my career overseas, possibly in MICE/events, marketing, or hospitality, rather than working in Korea.
My biggest concern is graduating too late.
A. Take a gap year and study abroad again
B. Stay in school and prepare for overseas jobs
C. Take a gap year for a working holiday
D. Graduate first, then do a working holiday
What would you do in my situation? Is another year abroad worth it, or should I focus on graduating and getting a job overseas?
