Two years of testing. Countless ruined sneakers. One machine that finally works.
Before we had ClearX, we had a lot of ruined sneakers.
My boss and our lead engineer spent two years going back and forth — trying different cleaning methods, testing different materials, failing over and over again. Different drying temps. Different cleaning mechanisms. Different ways to sanitize.
We went through a lot of pairs. More than I can count.
Some got warped. Some got discolored. Some just completely fell apart.
Every test was expensive. But every failure taught us something.
Eventually, we figured it out.
A cleaning method that actually removes dirt — without scrubbing or friction. Drying that doesn’t warp the shape or break down the glue. Sanitizing that kills odor without chemicals.
No damage. No compromise.
The result is ClearX — the world‘s first smart sneaker cleaning machine.
It took two years. A lot of patience. And way too many ruined shoes.
But it works.
We’ll be posting more on how it works over the next few weeks — including some of the tests that didn‘t go so well.
