Cursor can review the code it wrote. But isn’t that the same person marking their own exam?
I kept seeing people ask Cursor to build an app, then ask the same Cursor agent if the app was secure.
Maybe it catches things. But it can also share the exact same assumptions as the code it just wrote.
We built an outside-in scanner for exposed keys, open databases, source maps, config files and other public issues.
Then I realised a clean result could still create false confidence because it never logged in or inspected the private repo.
So now we have a self serve Deep Review. You prove control, connect the exact GitHub repo if wanted, sign the scope and it runs separate web and source checks.
But I’m worried about making this public without human approval.
Could it be abused against compromised repos? Could malicious code attack the analysis environment? Is installing another GitHub App asking too much?

Curious what Cursor users would actually trust here.
