whats a good salary for 7yrs experienced electrical engineer? mainly working for consultancy firms

I am currently in the last stages of an infrastructure project and as you know we get termination letters around this time, so I should be preparing and applying for my next role starting yesterday..
I am kinda disappointed in how the rates for salaries are never somewhat matching the inflation and depression situation the world is facing
when I am asked for me expected salary I usually ask for minimum of 12k which seems unrealistic because I never get in call ups for interviews

any advice?
