Tempur Pedic ProAdapt 1.0

My wife and I (31y/o) just bought a queen Tempur Pedic ProAdapt 1.0 medium from mattress firm. Felt like the deal was decent, $2199 for the bed, $250 for the foundation, free delivery. We needed a new mattress, coming from like an original purple mattress from 7 years ago. We tried out a few beds, thought the ProAdapt in medium was slightly better than the medium hybrid, it was close and similar but it’s always hard to tell in the store after laying on a handful of different beds and only laying on it for like 10 minutes. Almost everyone in my family has a Tempur Pedic bed and loves and swears by them, even our plumber mentioned it randomly. So we went and bought one. I’ve been looking at reviews and other stuff online and people have really been hating majority of Tempur Pedic mattresses. I’m hoping we didn’t make a mistake. Could still call mattress firm and cancel the delivery and get a full refund. Let me know if you have enjoyed your Tempur Pedic and if the ProAdapt was a good choice?? I would imagine it would be night and day difference compared to our old purple mattress.

For what it’s worth, I’m 6’ and 185lbs, kind of a combination sleeper, back, side, and sometimes even like half stomach and half side, if that makes sense. If we decide to keep it, will need some recommendations on a mattress protector as well as a platform bed frame. We didn’t love the adjustable Tempur Pedic metal bed frame so looking to put the ultra low Tempur Pedic foundation on a platform bed frame with a headboard.
