mac and cheese cuz i didnt have energy
for context:

g: ex's bsf

b: (my ex, dated for a month)

me and b dated for a month, in the starting of the month. broke up towards the end of that month because he was really busy and didn't have the time to date at the moment. (what he said)

b and g have always been close. so close, that people have actually come up to me and told me that they think it's fishy, and they probably like each other.
but i always brushed it off because b told me that he never liked her, though she did for some time before realizing he never reciprocated and stopped.

fast forward to next month literally 3 days after we broke up, b asks out g. she rejects him saying because he had just been through a breakup.

then, apparently she went for clarification the next day where something happened which i wasn't aware of.
three days later, he tells me he still sees me as a gf in his eyes, as he still had feelings for me. i was confused, but i wasnt aware of the fact that he asked her out already.

then he proceeds to tell me that a lot of his friends dont like me, and that they would be angry to see us together. doesnt tell me why they dont like me, because if he did, his entire plot would be ruined.

now, the tea starts.

g has been going around, saying i'm trying to imitate her, and be the next her. (i'm really not 😭)
she even said, verbatim, that b couldnt get her and thus went for me instead.

but of course, theres a lot of distaste against me because of this.
the reason b's friends dont like me is BECAUSE g has gone around saying im trying to be her.

he told all of his friends while we were dating that he truly didn't like me, and was dating me because i was similar to the g, and that i reminded him of her. he was waiting to see if he would develop feelings for me.
later told his friends he, in actuality, was just dating me to make g jealous. they KNEW that they both liked each other.

i got to know about all of this from a guy g was in a talking stage with, (again, so that b would be jealous) who was also played and is currently getting ghosted.

don't know if they're dating now, but thats not my concern. it's the fact that my rep at this place was collateral damage and has gone to shit.

worst part is, all the time we spent together (albeit limited) was fabricated. nothing he said was true. he told be repeatedly, that he liked me because i gave him familiarity. (I really should've connected the dots, wtf)

that was my day. feel free to ask questions, cause i haven't captured the full nuance of the story in this post, and it is very well plotted, to a disgusting amount.

i also remember vididly asking him "aren't me and g quite similar? why didn't you like her back?" in a joking manner, refering to the rumours.
he told me, i and g were miles apart, and not really similar.

they knew that they wouldnt face repercussions for their actions, because they are well-liked. so, many people (their friends) knowing what they did, still look down upon me because im apparently trying to be her, instead of realizing that the both of them hurt two innocent people.

if it feels like this post walked right out of a drama and was slapped upon ur screen, i feel the same way. i really can't believe my ears or my eyes.

don't really know what to do, so how was your day?

got played by a bf (genuine tea)
