I Guess This Is On Me

(M/34) met this person on Hinge on Wednesday and started speaking to them non-stop for the last 5 days I finally ask to meet them and even accommodate them on their day off even though I'm more busy at work. When I meet them they're a full 15-20 pounds heavier than what they showed in their photos (and used pictures that were 3-5 years younger) and smelled like cigarette smoke (big turn off for me more than anything). I was disappointed but we continued to have the same chemistry that got us here. Bill comes I pay as she promises that she would Venmo me the money and like a sucker I believed her. Literally, as soon as I open the door to leave the restaurant she sparks up a cigarette and in my head I'm like oh God. I walk her to her car and she starts pressing against me asking for a kiss so I relent. Then she asks for another kiss and I tell her about the cigarette smoke is a turn off in the kindest way possible. She seems understanding and we hug and plan our second meet (which we planned before the first meet). I drive home and text her I'm home and ask her if she is and she got there safely. Less than a minute later, "Best of luck to you!" I'm like WTF so I text her three times what do you mean and for feedback. Final one was about her portion of the bill, which was in the triple digits. I try to call her BLOCKED social media BLOCKED. This is my first date in 4 years and this reminds/reinforces why I don't. All the previous women I've dated were introduced to me via friend and/or I knew through school and we had long, respectful relationships (5 and 8 year relationships). I know what everyone is going to say on this post already "you should've secured her portion earlier, you're so naive" "that's just how it is these days" "I'm sure there's things you did you're not telling us that might've turn her off". so yeah this ones on me and back into my hole I go
