Implied tenancy - implied landlording?

Landlord Tenant Housing

Location: Texas.
I told my ex to leave after a violent/ threatening outburst, and then in writing said they are no longer welcome to stay with me, its over. Police were called, and I told several friends and family what the outburst was like as well.
I have said and continue to say that we can organize/schedule for them to get their belongings out. Ex claims they have implied tenancy rights - mainly a right to sue me over withheld property and lack of eviction notice- because they had assisted me with finances a couple times and stayed over often, got mail.

The property isnt mine, it’s a rental. I’m primary on the lease, co-signer is 2nd- partner had not been added on yet. Who has the right to evict partner? Me or my landlord? A kick-Out order seems to be the way to go but I do not wish to harm my expartner in ANY way, including financially/legally. I would however, defend myself in court to the fullest extent if partner felt necessary to actually take it to small claims court.
