Hi i want some advice on strict parents

Hi, I'm a teenager and I wanted some advice about strict parents.

My parents make me keep records of almost everything I do, such as when I study, what I study, and other daily activities. I also don't get much freedom to go outside or spend time with friends, although I do have some friends in school.

I used to have access to a better laptop and played online games, but my parents took it away and gave me an old Core 2 Duo computer, saying it was enough. They encourage me to learn programming, which I actually appreciate because I've learned useful skills from it.

I understand that my parents probably want the best for me, but sometimes I feel like I don't have enough freedom, hobbies, or time to relax. I wanted to ask: if you grew up with strict parents, how did you handle it? Did things improve over time, and how did you talk to your parents about trust and balance?
