Anyway to force xWayland scaling to 1 in multi monitor setup?

I am running a dual monitor setup with a 2560x1600 laptop display with scaling 150% and a 3440x1440 ultra-wide (primary) with scaling 100%.
xWayalnd scaling is set to 'Apply scaling themselves'
The xwayland scale in kwinrc is set to 1.5 from my laptop display causing xwayland apps to look tiny in my ultra-wide.

I would like to be able to force set the xwayland scale to be 1 . I can handle if only x11 apps are tiny in my secondary monitor but i want them to look readable in my ultrawide

What i have tried so far:

• Changing the value in kwinrc seems to do nothing and it gets reset once i logout and log back in
• The kwinrc does update to 1 if I change my laptop screen scaling to 100% but then every app becomes tiny in that screen
