Misogyny & Female Autonomy in Eastern Europe (Moldova context; EE cultural context) – Questions for a commentary project

Hey! I’m a Moldovan woman working on a video essay dissecting gender dynamics, misogyny, and LGBTQ+ reality in Eastern Europe. I'd love to gather some perspectives on these specific points: –When you hear about women’s rights or gender roles in Eastern European countries like Moldova, what is the immediate bias or picture that pops into your head? –Why do you think hyper-femininity (wearing full glam, high heels, hyper-groomed looks) is often written off as "submissive" or "seeking male approval" in Western feminist spaces, while in post-Soviet regions it was historically a form of female expression and boundary-setting? –How do you see casual misogyny disguised as "protecting women" or "chivalry" playing out in your own culture? –How toxic and mysoginystic do you think easten europe or even Moldova is? Always disguised as "traditional"?

Thank you and love yall divas <3
