No my computer did not blow up. Nothing of the sort. The image is very misleading but I really need help.

So I just got a new GPU one day ago.

I stress tested this GPU and I made 100% sure that my PC had enough wattage to power the GPU.

The GPU was the GIGABYTE - Radeon RX 9060 XT GAMING

They recommend a wattage of 450 for this GPU I have a wattage of 500 and my PSU has a 80 gold rating for it.

But here's where my problems start I tested this GPU pretty hard or at least as hard as the software I was using, (Unigine Superposition) but the GPU ran perfectly. It honestly blew my expectations out of the water. I was so happy.

But later on I turned on the computer and it's important to know I only had when I did these tests Just a keyboard and mouse hooked up to my PC.

But weirdly for some reason after I hooked everything back into my computer. After a little while my left monitor started to flicker and have white boxes come up and I was hearing a popping that I was thinking was my monitor at the time. And the monitor kept doing this. The flickers were with the pops.

I swapped the cables around and unplugged my other monitor to have the issue get much worse. And I left it going for a while because I was trying to diagnose the problem.

But here's the kicker for me is that I don't know if my PSU is screwed because when I was down there I had the cover off to my computer and I was trying to smell to see if there was anything going on with it and I was looking at the GPU and all of a sudden I hear a pop and I know this pop came from the PC.

It was not incredibly loud but I have a feeling it was the PSU and I have a feeling that my graphics card was overloading. My system and made my Psu pop

I had 50 wattage over what the GPU needed and at the time of these problems it was sitting dormant. So I'm very very very confused. And my true question. Do I need a new PSU.

And is there any way I can possibly look inside of my PSU to verify that nothing is wrong.

To also say this there was no burn smell everything smelt fine And my computer even after that pop was running perfectly. But I had also unplugged a bunch of USBS because I thought that was what was causing the problem and the problem did stop so I don't know.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I'm really bummed out because I'm worried that I wrecked my PSU. I love this graphics card and I don't want any chance of losing my whole computer or my $600 graphics card. It would break my heart to see happen.

New GPU broken PSU???
