Can't reliably charge using QI2.2

Caught up in the excitement of getting a Fold 8, I've gone out and bought a magsafe ring plate to place on the back of my Fold. I've also purchased some UGreen QI2.2 magsafe chargers. To my disappointment, I can't get my Fold 8 to charge reliably - it goes as high as 10/11W before dropping to 0.

Thinking this was my alignment, I've tried moving it around a few mm here and there to no avail. I've also taken it to the Samsung store and tried their official MagSafe cases which have given me the same outcome. Finally I've tried with additional Fold 8s and had the same outcome.

All my chargers are 65W+, my cables have eMark chips and support the same output. In verified that the UGreen QI2.2 can charge at 20W+ speeds, it works just fine on a Flip 7 with MagSafe case.

Has anyone successfully gotten their device to charge at QI2.2 speeds?
