Ming Ming came into my life only about a month ago. He was a stray kitten who started hanging around my home and eventually became comfortable enough to stay. Last week, I took him to the vet to have him neutered. At that point, he seemed completely fine. Unfortunately, only a few days later, he suddenly became very sick.

He became weak, stopped eating, and developed severe diarrhea. I took him to the vet less than 24 hours after I first noticed that something was wrong, and he was diagnosed with feline panleukopenia (FPV). Because FPV is extremely contagious, he was transferred to an isolation facility and hospitalized.

He’s currently receiving IV fluids, anti-nausea medication (Cerenia), nutritional support with Royal Canin Recovery, vitamins/immune support, and other supportive treatment. His veterinary team is also monitoring him closely and has started filgrastim because his white blood cell count is dangerously low.

The vets explained that the virus has suppressed his bone marrow, which is unfortunately a serious complication of FPV. There have been some small but encouraging improvements. His temperature is currently normal, his diarrhea has started decreasing, he hasn’t been vomiting, and he’s now able to swallow a little wet food when assisted. He has even started meowing again.

Ming Ming will likely need **7–10 days of hospitalization**, depending on how he responds to treatment.
The current hospitalization cost is approximately **Rp400,000 / \~$27 per day**
Estimated costs:
**10 days**
Hospitalization: Rp4,000,000
FPV testing ×2: Rp670,000
CBC ×2: Rp600,000
**Total: Rp5,270,000 (\~$351)**

I’m setting the fundraising goal at **$350** to hopefully cover up to 10 days of hospitalization and the repeat testing he’ll need.
This doesn’t include unexpected medication, additional treatment, or emergency care if his condition worsens.

I will provide updates, veterinary reports, and bills/receipts to keep everything transparent. Thank you for reading about Ming Ming and giving this little stray a chance. ❤️🐾
